Meet Erica Roman
Many law firm owners expect growth to make the firm easier to run.
Instead, more clients often bring more decisions, more questions from the team, and longer hours just to keep everything moving.
The legal work is only one part of running a firm. The systems behind the work matter just as much.
I’m Erica Roman. I work as a Fractional COO (Chief Operating Officer) with law firms and help attorneys increase revenue without burnout.
Before starting my business, I spent the past ten years working inside complex organizations across finance, higher education, and government, including UBS, New York University, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
My background in investigations and compliance shaped how I approach operations work today. Clear systems, strong documentation, and organized processes are essential when the work matters.
Today I focus on helping boutique law firms put the right structure in place so the firm can grow without everything depending on the attorney.
My work often includes:
• creating clear client intake and onboarding processes
• defining how cases move through the firm
• documenting internal procedures and workflows
• organizing files, documents, and internal systems
• bringing structure to projects, deadlines, and team responsibilities
The goal is simple. A firm that can support more clients and revenue without the attorney carrying every operational responsibility.
If you are thinking about how your firm should operate as it continues to grow, I would be glad to connect.
